Man to Man Ministry
Man to Man Ministry
The mission statement of Man to Man (MTM), Windwood's Men's Ministry, is to create an environment in which the Spirit of God will empower men, through relationships with other men, to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ, and thus honor God, serve their families and minister to others in our church and community.
Small Groups
Participation in a men's small group is one of the best ways to connect with other men and grow in our faith. Please take the opportunity to join a men's small group (whether a new group or an existing one). These groups build on the great friendships formed at the retreat. If you would like to help organize and lead a small group, please talk to one of the MTM committee members.
Fellowship Events
The men’s monthy mini-retreat will be the last Sunday of every month from 8:00-9:00 a.m.The group meets in the Seminar Room. Breakfast will be served and a guest speaker will entertain and inform us during this once-a-month men’s fellowship opportunity. Opportunities for fellowship abound for the Men of Windwood! We go to Astros, Aeros, Rockets and Texan games, as well as some family activities like the Cy-Fair rodeo. For those who want to participate rather than watch, there is men's basketball every Tuesday evening in the Youth Center gym. Golf, hunting, fishing and bowling are also some of the other sporting events we sponsor. In addition our father/daughter and father/son campouts are very popular outings.
We've got some good cooks among the Men of Windwood and their gifts don't go wasted! The Sportsman's Dinner is an annual event featuring a well known speaker and a dinner of wild game provided by MTM. Throughout the year we also offer quarterly events with speakers on topics from all 3 aspects of our ministry: spiritual enrichment, fellowship and service. Some of the speakers being planned for this year include financial managers, prison ministry representatives and military chaplains with service in the Mid-east.
Service Opportunities
We also serve our church and community. These events might sound like work, but they are a lot of fun when we do them together. Church clean up and service days, MTM Habitat work days, preparing and slicing brisket for the Youth Fall Brisket sale are just some of the opportunities available.
If you have any ideas for activities or would like to help plan or run them please talk to one of the MTM committee members this weekend. Notification of all events will also be sent by Email if you have given us your address.
