 Our Purpose

The purpose of the Missions Council is to be a ministry that exemplifies a heart for the unreached and seeks to fulfill the Great Commission.

The primary focus areas are:
1.  Increase Awareness, Understanding, Acceptance and Commitment to missions at Windwood.

2.  Provide an opportunity for intergenerational approaches to missions.

3.  Provide an opportunity for adults to engage in different ways with missions at home and abroad.

Key Windwood Connections

Partners in Ministry - They coordinate local hands on mission activities.

Student Ministry Council - They coordinate all of the many youth mission activities.

Man to Man - Windwoods Men's group that is always involved in mission activities.

Michael and Henrietta Edward – Cypress Christian Ministry, missionaries to the local Muslim community. “Meet and find people that don’t know the Christian faith and bring the salvation of Jesus to them.”

Philip Prasad – Witnessing Ministries of Christ, missionary president of organization growing the Christian faith in India. “Spreading the Good News among the 135 million Dalit (or “untouchable”) people of India.”

Dalit Children Adoption – Witnessing Ministries of Christ, members of the “untouchable” caste of India. Provide education and faith enrichment in a Christian setting.
