WCA offers a quality education in a warm, Christian environment. We believe that learning is fun when introduced in interesting, challenging, multi-sensory lessons and presented by a dedicated, caring staff. Our teachers are fully certified, and each brings special talents and training to implement a well-balanced curriculum. Teachers draw from several publishers such as ACSI, ABeka, Bob Jones, to utilize an eclectic approach to education. To support the academics, each class goes to the school library weekly to hear stories read to them and to select books from a wide variety of titles. Emphasis is on the classics. Art projects are selected to reinforce classroom learning, coincide with school-wide themes, and develop various art techniques. Religion classes give the children a background in the important Bible stories emphasizing the wisdom and virtues of particular characters. In Physical Education, our students learn good sportsmanship while the morning exercises include mini-lessons in patriotism and social skills. The children expand their cultural experiences with Spanish classes while there are lessons in the Computer Lab to prepare them to further their education. Field trips are chosen to enhance their knowledge of the world around them in areas of Science, Social Studies, and the Fine Arts.
The children receive a well-rounded education while developing their social skills, learning basic virtues, and growing in understanding of higher level thinking skills to live successfully in a post-modern world following the school motto of “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as for the Lord rather than for man.” Colossians 3:23
