The Windwood family supports various para-ministries in our local community that spread the gospel and reflect the character of Christ by serving and caring for the people around us.  Our congregation supports these vetted ministries through monthly contributions, prayer, volunteers and assisting with other needs.  You can learn more about each ministry and  how you can serve by clicking on the links below or emailing Meredith at Meredith@windwoodpc.org.

Ministry Highlights

  • We collected over 1700 boxes as the Area Distribution Center in 2022.

  • OCC provides Shoebox gifts to children all around the world.

  • With each box, children are invited to attend The Greatest Journey. 11 million children have made a decision for Christ since 2009.


To change the lives of children from families in crisis by loving and nurturing them in a Christian home environment, raising them to become self-sustaining and contributing adults.

Care Net Pregnancy Center provides pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, and abortion education in the Greater Houston area. We serve the entire community regardless of race, religion, nationality or marital status. All of our services are free and confidential.

Along with our volunteers and financial support, Windwood supports CareNet with blankets, baby hats and quilts through our Prayerful Stitchers.

Cypress Assistance Ministries is a faith-based organization that serves individuals and families in financial crisis, those on the brink of homelessness, the elderly, the unemployed and anyone that needs hope for a better future

Ministry Highlights:

  • Supplied over 300 kids with Back to School Supplies.

Ministry Needs:

  • Canned goods and boxed dinners for the Food Pantry

  • Donate used clothing to Angela’s Attic.


Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-governmental, nonprofit organization devoted to building simple, decent and affordable housing. We believe everyone deserves a decent and safe place to live.

Ministry Needs:

Join us as we serve lunch to the work sites throughout the year!


The Mission of Yahweh is a faith-based shelter that has been empowering, enriching and restoring the lives of homeless women and children and provides outreach services to low-income communities since 1961.

The Mission of Yahweh offers shelter and  many life-changing programs focused on ending the cycle of homelessness and dependency. 

Ministry Needs:

Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) is a nonprofit, community-based, multi-program social service agency that strives to meet basic human needs through Neighbors Helping Neighbors. NAM provides assistance in areas including food, shelter, health, education, safety and financial education.

Meals on Wheels serves hot meals to those who are in need. Windwood hosts a site for the neighborhoods on Spring Cypress.

Ministry Highlights:

  • Serving 4000 meals a month from the Windwood Meals on Wheels Distribution Center.

Ministry Needs:

  • Donate clothing to their ReSale Shop

  • Donate bottled water to the HOTS Team

  • Volunteer at their Food Pantry

Toys for NAM Drive November 29 - December 13.


Our mission is to help the homeless find a path off the streets and mentor them throughout their life journey to succeed and thrive as contributing members of our community. We build relationships with individuals on the streets as a means to inspire a sense of purpose that empowers them to achieve stability and change their lives.

Ministry Needs:

  • Join us on the 3rd Friday of every month as we feed the clients of The Hope Center

  • Donate bikes, tents and clothing.

  • You can volunteer to monitor showers, laundry and help sort clothing.


Shield Bearer’s counseling expertise lies in Marriage and Family Counseling and Trauma Recovery. Our trauma specialists work with survivors of human trafficking. veterans, crime victims and their families and disaster survivors.

Ministry Highlights:

  • The single largest provider of counseling services to human trafficking victims in the greater Houston area.

  • Shield Bearer has helped over 5,000 military personnel, veterans, and their families.

Ministry Needs:

  • Shield Bearers had to cancel their annual 5K Run Fundraiser due to COVID-19. You can still donate on the website. Click the logo.


TEAM operates a resale shop, food pantry, and an assistance ministry. We provide short-term assistance with food, clothing, shelter, rent and utilities, as well as medical, dental and prescription needs.

Ministry Highlights:

  • TEAM receives no government funding, yet more than 90% of all donations go directly to meet client needs.

Ministry Needs:

  • Donate clothing and other items to their resale shop.

TOMAGWA is an award-winning Christian ministry that, by the Grace of God and in response to the Love of Jesus, provides quality health care, offers hope and restores dignity to uninsured, low-income families and individuals in the Tri-County region of Harris, Montgomery and Waller Counties.

Ministry Highlights:

  • 2018 Gold Award for Blood Pressure from the American Heart Association

  • 2019 Award from Texas Clinics for Diabetes Weight Loss
