PURPOSE:

To provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care to the children while at our Church, ages 0-5th grades in a clean environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer.

  • Follow Serving Vulnerable Populations and other safety guidelines including policies and procedures in the KidMin Handbook.

  • Assist in the spiritual development of children by providing and physically, emotionally and spiritually safe and nurturing environment.

  • Report to work on time in a professional and prepared manner.

  • Be polite, friendly and courteous to all children, parents and volunteers.

  • Execute schedule as assigned by Childcare Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working with children in a church and/or childcare setting.

  • CPR/First Aid Certified

  • Love of children and their families.

  • Organization and reliability

  • Prompt and detailed communication

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Satisfactory completion of background check

  • Complete safety training
